CHRIS DUARTE’S 1963 FENDER STRATOCASTER
Stolen in New York City in November of 1993, the guitar is a refinished 1963 Fender Stratocaster (serial number L14261) with a two-tone tobacco sunburst finish (brown fading into black). It has a white 50’s style single-ply pickguard with a triangular chip (about 1 1/2” long) missing from the top center edge pointing down towards the strings.

It has a cracked headstock that’s been fixed. The crack is still visible (even from the back) and is about 4” long running parallel to the strings. The sticker on the headstock is a reissue (no “patents applied” number) and is applied slightly lower than the original. The guitar has a black 5-way switch, rosewood neck and a graphite nut. The neck is “scalloped” and worn from Chris’s playing. This guitar is truly a “player’s” instrument.

JOHN JORDAN’S 1993 CONKLIN SEVEN-STRING BASS
John Jordan’s bass is very unique. It is a Conklin 7-string bass (like he plays now) and was a demonstration model. It’s serial number is #8. It is made of natural blonde wood with feathered inlays. “John Jordan” is inscribed at the 12th fret and “CDG” inscribed at the 24th fret.
Please check with local guitar shops, pawn shops, want ads, guitar or music conventions for these instruments. They are both one-of-a-kind instruments, so there’s a good chance they will surface someday. If anyone can find them, we can!!
